Your sponsorship of the 12th Annual Leap for The Lily Pad (formerly known as Run Up for Downs) will support the mission of The Lily Pad Café. The café will employ & train young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and equip them with the tools necessary to obtain employment by local businesses.
Last year, this event attracted 600-800 participants who came to celebrate inclusion and enjoy a fun, family friendly awareness evening. This event kicks off with a 5K run/walk and a fun run, and follows with live music, kids play pad area with activities, games and a sensory tent, great food and drinks donated by local businesses. Thanks to generous contributions like yours, we are in the final stages of preparation and opening the future home of The Lily Pad to ensure meaningful employment and independence for our loved ones that are differently-abled.
We only allow items to be included in participant bags from our sponsors as part of your benefits. Our shirts have become walking advertisements our attendees wear for years following our event and we mail our shirts to all virtual participants not able to join us in person.
